Florida Explorers Association
Student Code of Conduct
This is a summary of the rules and expectations for everyone who participates in Florida Explorers programs and events. Please read each section carefully. By signing at the end, you are promising to follow these rules.
1. Who We Are
Florida Explorers is a Pro-American, pro-Constitution, faith-friendly organization. We are not a secular group. Our programs are built around strong values, good character, and hands-on learning. Every family is welcome as long as they respect our beliefs and follow this Code of Conduct.
2. Be Respectful
- Treat everyone with kindness — teachers, volunteers, other students, and families.
- Use appropriate and respectful language at all times.
- Respect the beliefs, values, and mission of Florida Explorers.
- Take care of the buildings, parks, and spaces where our events are held.
3. Leave No Trace
- Leave every place we visit in the same or better condition than we found it.
- Clean up after yourself — throw away trash and help with clean-up.
- Be thankful and polite to the people and places that host us.
- Respect nature, animals, and public spaces.
4. Be On Time and Be Prepared
- Arrive at least 10 minutes early to every event.
- Bring everything you need for the activity.
- If you arrive late, join quietly without interrupting the group.
5. Communicate
- If you or your family has a question or concern, reach out to a Florida Explorers administrator.
- Let us know ahead of time about any special needs or schedule changes.
6. Take Care of Business
- Make sure your family's registrations and payments are completed on time.
- Keep your contact and emergency information up to date.
- Late payments or missed paperwork may result in extra fees or loss of your spot.
7. Siblings
- Brothers and sisters are welcome at many events, but they must not be disruptive.
- If a sibling is causing a disturbance, a parent must take them out of the group.
- They may come back once they are ready to participate respectfully.
8. One-Strike Rule
Florida Explorers has a ONE-STRIKE rule. This means:
- If you break the rules in this Code of Conduct, your membership will be ended immediately.
- You will not be allowed to attend any future Florida Explorers events.
- No refunds will be given.
- Florida Explorers has the final say on whether a rule has been broken.
9. Additional Rules
- No copying or sharing Florida Explorers lesson materials without permission.
- Keep member information private — don't share other families' personal details.
- Be smart on social media — only post photos or videos of other families with their permission.
- No bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind. This is zero tolerance.
- No drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or vaping at any event.
- Follow the rules of every venue we visit.
- You and your family are responsible for any damage you cause at an event or venue.
10. My Promise
By signing below, I promise that:
- I have read and understand this Student Code of Conduct.
- I agree to follow all of the rules listed above.
- I understand that breaking these rules means I can no longer be a part of Florida Explorers.
