Florida Explorers Association is committed to cultivating a passion for learning and fostering lifelong learners by providing hands-on educational opportunities for students. We continually seek innovative ways to raise funds while striving to keep costs affordable and support families. Florida Explorers Association is an approved provider for Step Up For Students. Most of our educational offerings are available in the EMA ScholarShop as a direct payment option. 

As an educational nonprofit organization, we encourage families to become members. This not only supports our initiatives but also maximizes the benefits available to your family. Each family membership includes a unique portal account, allowing you to view and manage program registrations, receipts, and payments. Additionally, member accounts are registered to receive our emails, ensuring you are among the first to register and secure spots for upcoming offerings. Email notifications contain hyperlinked registrations for all events, eliminating the need to navigate our website for updates.

The setup and initiation fee for a family account is a one-time charge of $80.00. (Please note that initiation and renewal fees are not applicable to the Step Up Scholar Shop. Families may choose to submit these for reimbursement on their own.)

Avoid yearly renewal fees ($47.00) by participating in at least four paid offerings during each academic calendar year (late August to May). 

Members enjoy exclusive access to all educational events and participation in members-only activities.

IMPORTANT: Membership fees are due no later than 24 hours after approval. Please be aware that membership fees are non-refundable.

Our website host charges our organization per family account. You will receive no more than two email reminders before your profile is deleted. All funds collected are allocated to meet the essential operational needs of our organization. 

At this time All admins are volunteers , parent involvement is strongly encouraged. 

Florida Explorers does not generally facilitate drop-off educational events. In instances where not all parent chaperones can be accommodated, two reliable emergency contact numbers must be provided. Additionally, students of all ages are required to be sign in and sign out with an administrator.

IMPORTANT: 

To foster and maintain a safe and respected network of homeschooling families, new member requests may expect a phone call and/or an email from an admin for verification. Please be ready to answer a few brief questions. If you are friends with a current or previous member, please let us know in the "Message to Admin" section.

Please Note: The fields below, "Secondary First Name," "Secondary Last Name," and "Secondary Email" refer to your spouse or second guardian. Please include your spouse or any guardian who may be attending an event. This will enable them to appear as potential registrants when signing up for events.

Thank you for requesting a membership in The Florida Explorers! We look forward to sharing an amazing year of hands-on-learning opportunities with your family.  

A group administrator has been notified of your request to join. New members without a recommendation from a Florida Explorers member should anticipate a phone call. Please be prepared to answer a few brief questions. Membership requests that have already been verified by a Florida Explorers member may be confirmed via email. Once approved, you will receive an email notification regarding your login credentials. It is essential to save the username and password you entered, as you will need them to log in and begin registering for programs. As new events and classes are added, you will be among the first to be informed.

REMINDER:  Membership fee's are due no later than 24 hours after a membership approval. You may log in to submit dues at this time. Neglecting to finalize your membership payment within the specified timeframe will result in a parked membership status, with a reminder email promptly dispatched. Failure to remit the membership dues will prompt the cancellation of your request, requiring a fresh commencement of the application process should you still desire membership.
